Kaprine announced signing their distribution deal with Triple Squirrels this week for the documentary short “Witch A Well”. Triple Squirrels will retain exclusive US distribution rights, adding “Witch A Well” to their roster of content for the EVRGRN channel.

Triple Squirrels was founded by Tom Skerritt to highlight the creative spirit that defines the Pacific Northwest region. Programming will be an assortment of original Triple Squirrels productions and curated content programmed in a linear TV format, including both long and short form video, fiction and non-fiction. EVRGRN channel content will be available as free, ad-supported programming on Over The Top (OTT) and Video On Demand (VOD) platforms. 

Kaprine’s new music video, Half Moon Valley, premiered exclusively in American Songwriter magazine.

Half Moon Valley was created in collaboration with An Orchestrated Impulse, the new music project from Matt Pond and Chris Hansen, known for their work in indie rock band Matt Pond PA. The magazine piece explores the inspiration behind the music and the associated video.

Kaprine’s inaugural film project, Witch A Well, is scheduled to premiere at the 45th Annual Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF).

Witch A Well is a short non-fiction film that introduces the life and work of Jim Cline, a “water witch” who practices the folk art of divining water sources. It was chosen from thousands of entries to screen at SIFF, the largest and highest-attended film festival in the United States.

The world premiere screening as part of the short film program “Destination Northwest” is scheduled for May 27th, 2019, and 12:00pm. Tickets and further information are available on the SIFF website.

Today Kaprine announced changes to their senior leadership. 

David Sult, previously President and CEO, has been appointed Board Chairman. Nicole Mitha has been named Managing Member and CEO. 

The personnel changes coincide with a shift of focus to Digital Platform and Production activities. Capitalizing on the growing demand for original video content, Kaprine plans a slate of documentary and short films, as well as other strategic activities in related spaces. Kaprine’s first non-fiction project is targeted for release in Fall of 2019.

Mr. Sult has more than 30 years of experience as a Corporate Executive and Senior Advisor to leading corporate, private equity, and public sector executives worldwide. Prior to joining Kaprine, Mr. Sult was Executive Vice President / Senior Partner at Aon, where he led teams that bridged across Aon's business units to develop innovative high value solutions and provide consulting, risk, and outsourcing services to leading companies worldwide. He held several leadership positions including Co-CEO of Aon’s Global M&A business unit, architect and leader of Aon Hewitt’s Global Industry practice, and Global Leader for Business Transformation Consulting. Before his work with Aon, he spent 14 years with Deloitte Consulting as a principal and partner, having previously served as a management consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton.
